We failed you.

Last week  I was in my classroom at a high school, and  I received a breaking news alert on my phone. "Shooting in Florida high school, shooter still at large"  At first glance, I didn't pay much attention to it, because in this sad world we live in, a school shooting has become quite the norm in the past few years. Sad.  For some reason, I felt it necessary to look at the news and check out what was going on. I never watch the news, I get enough political nonsense on Facebook.   For some reason I felt like I should watch this footage. I watched the students coming out of the high school with hands on their heads, I watched wounded students laying on the grass getting cared for, and worst of all I watched the parents running up to the school to make sure their child was safe.
